The OmnisCentral Americas 2006 Conference has been announced for August 26-30, 2006 and David Swain has again been asked to provide the foundation training track to get Omnis newcomers off to a good start! Remember, though, that these conference sessions are only samplers of a real Omnis training from David and cannot possibly meet your needs as well as any of our in-depth courses. Still, if you can make it to the conference, it's well worth the trip! The camaraderie of the international Omnis community and the networking opportunities - not to mention, the food - make for a memorable experience.
On this same subject, we are equally featured at the OzOmnis 2006 Conference in Sydney, Australia in November 2006. (It's on their web site, so we aren't giving anything away - we hope!) If this is an easier trip for you, by all means attend! Of course, attending both is better if you have the means...
New for the summer season is "Workshop Week". This is a series of one-day Super Sessions for the intermediate-to-advanced Omnis Studio developer. Each day covers a single topic in depth. Each session is described at the bottom of our Course Descriptions page. A single day of these classes costs US$299.00, but each additional day you attend in the same week is discounted by US$100.00, so the entire week of sessions is priced at only US$1,095.00. These sessions are generally given at our location in New Hampshire, so consider a trip to the relaxing New England countryside for a week of Omnis training you can't receive anywhere else!
Basic Omnis training continues to be offered here in the United States as well. Of special note are the "New Features of Studio 4.x" classes, which detail the new and exciting additions to Omnis Studio that come with Omnis Studio 4.0 and 4.1. There is a lot more to version 4 than first meets the eye - and this is the place to learn about all the new features options and capabilities of the new generation of Omnis Studio. But keep in mind that these special classes will only be offered publicly for a limited time, so sign up soon!
Our regular host in Southern California, Mark Grinde of Jammin Apparel, has moved his company to southern Virginia and is happy to host classes there. His new location is a bit further from a major airport than was his old location in Anaheim, CA (a few miles from Disneyland), but it is a pleasant drive from Dulles International Airport near Washington, DC, with other options for the more adventurous. Let us know if you would like to have Omnis training delivered in that region and we will set it up! And if you have a venue we could use in Southern or Northern California, we'd love to know about that too...
Below is the current class schedule. Since we occasionally have "private" classes in various locales, gaps have been left in the schedule to accommodate them. Many companies and groups of developers are finding this an effective way of getting the best Omnis Studio training available without having to travel across the country (or around the world). This means more people can attend, since travel expenses are only required for one person (David). If you would like a class given at your company or in your part of the world, contact us at dataguru@polymath-bus-sys.com. Details on sponsoring classes or hosting on-site classes are given elsewhere on this site.
